Science Tunnel on the Pacific – 1st appearance in South America
The Science Tunnel can be seen in the Ex Frigorífico Barón in Puerto Valparaiso, Chile, from 9 October to 10 December 2009. After Europe, Asia, Africa and North America, this marks the arrival of the interactive science exhibition on the fifth continent.
The travelling exhibition by the Max Planck Society has been on tour since 2000. The stop in Chile has been made possible by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Max Planck Society, the Comisión Nacional de Investigación Cientifica y Technológica (CONICYT), the University of Valparaiso and local sponsors.
